Usher & Greeter Ministry

Opening the doors of God’s house with warmth, order and a ready smile.

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”Psalm 84:10 (KJV)

Our Purpose

Welcome in

Our ushers and greeters are often the first face of New Jerusalem. They welcome every guest, help each worshiper find a seat and keep the sanctuary in decency and order.

What we do

  • Greet members and guests at the door
  • Seat worshipers and assist families and elders
  • Receive the offering and serve during communion
  • Keep order and reverence throughout service
